Special Events

CarmelKidz Ministry sponsors "special events" to help families celebrate their child's milestones and to encourage children to grow Up like Jesus.

  • First Grade Bible Celebration: Our first graders and their families are invited to our First Grade Bible Presentation as the children move up from Preschool to CarmelKidz ministry.  First Graders receive a Bible and a CarmelKidz bag. A picture is taken to help them remember this milestone event: owning a Bible to study and learning to cherish God's word. The 2010-2011 date for the First Grade Bible Celebration is October 1, 2010 at 6:00 pm.
  • Preteen Blessing Retreats: A spring weekend is set aside where preteens and their parents can "pause" and "chart out" spiritual direction to navigate wisely through their teen years. 2011 Retreat dates are:  Boys:  March 18-20 or March 25-27.  Girls:  April 1-3 or April 8-10.
  • Summer FX (Family eXperience Events):   2011 date:  TBA 
  • Children's Camp (for completed 3rd-6th graders).  July 17-22, 2011.   Camp theme will be Tabernacle.  Registration will begin in late February, 2011.  Children's Camp is not open to the public.

 These "Grow" events are for CarmelKidz and their families.  Pre-registration is required.  Registration information is sent via e-mail.  Please make sure we have an updated e-mail for your family by sending changes to janicem@carmelbaptist.org.
